I do not want this blog to be labeled as the "Anti Rock Music Blog". That of course is not the purpose for this blog. The main purpose is to take everyday things that we face daily and show how we can apply the Word of God to those areas. Weather those circumstance are good or bad.
Rock Music, Sex, Drugs, and Alcohol are not the problem. They are the result of one thing called sin. Oh yes this dirty 3 letter word that is in our lives every single day. It is in mine and it is in yours.
See it all started back in the garden of Eden. God told Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. But the great deceiver came along and convinced Eve it was fine to eat the fruit of that particular tree. Of course the deceiver's name was Satan and he is still around today. You can read the story of the first sin in Genesis chapter 3.
Man was separated from the continual fellowship with God that day. When a child is born they are born into sin and no man is able to escape from that sin by himself. Every man has sinned.
For ALL have sinned, and come short of the glory of God Romans 3:23.
For the wages of sin is death; Romans 6:23a.
Ouch!
Lets see what have we learned; Everyone has sinned they all fall short, and those who sinned gets death. How encouraging is that? Now before you say "This guy is insane I am never reading his blog again" check the next part out.
Notice I only quoted the first part of Romans 6:23.
For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God IS ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ out Lord. Romans 6:23 (In full)
Sin being the very Problem can be wiped away through Jesus Christ. (Read John 3:1-22)
The incredible story of Nicodemus which I do not have time to go into with this blog (but I will in a future blog) answers many questions that I have not covered here. Take some time and read it. The truth of the matter is You have sinned you deserve death. The very root of every problem in the Church is because of sin not all the issues that get in the way. Lets not get all caught up on these issues. Though they are very important and we cannot ignore them we must be careful not to let them become our religion.
Nathan - you are a damn fool.
