The old cliche "Time fly's when you are having fun" is very true I believe.
Time is not moving faster when you are having fun, you just don't care about the time when you are having fun you simply don't have time to care about time...
In contrast when you are performing a mundane task you notice time. You pay attention to every millisecond of time.
In actuality time moves at the same speed every day.
Time moves fast though, a steady fast is the speed of time. If you turn you attention away and forget that time is moving. When you look up time will have moved so much further than you expected.
To keep you attention tuned to the speed of time is difficult but it is certianly a must or time will leave you behind.
I imagine time similar to how C.S Lewis described him in his Chronicles of Narnia series.
Time is an old man who has a plan that will not be changed and he marches forward nothing will thwart his way. Behind time walks a young boy with a drum, beating the sound of bum, bum, bum.
Time has no crier, no one to announce that he is on the move or that he is near. Time has always been marching on forward with his drummer beating faithfully behind him. Time doesn't care weather you notice him now. You will have to notice him eventually. Time affects the life of every person. Its up to you how you use the time that has been given to you. Only then will you be satisfied to follow time and his drummer on their steady journey. Don't look down even for a moment, Time waits for no man...
