Run

Here we are running together.
I wonder as we are running in stride if we will be together in the end.
I wonder if you will trip, or maybe me.
I wonder if you will trip me, or maybe I will trip you.

"Run faster" they scream from the sidelines.
"Do you see that goal go for it!" That's what we have been taught for our entire lives.
"Don't Give up" That's what we tell ourselves.

Looking toward our hero's keeps us on this path.
We run following their examples
Some having traveled this road only a short time before.

Of course we are cautious of the terrors of this road.
However the worst terror of this road we will face is each other.
The worst thing we fear on this road is in fact our own selves.

We must run this road there is no other choice in our minds.
We will not run the other path of ease like the rest of the world.
We choose to create our own destiny.
No longer will we depend on another for our way through this world.

Run, Run toward your goal.
Run for your dream.
Run, but watch your step you might trip.
